Privacy Policy

QR Studio is built to keep your data on your device. It does not track you, it has no ads, and it never sells or shares your data.

Last updated: June 2026

The short version

QR Studio runs entirely on your device. The app does not include any third party analytics, does not connect to our servers, and does not transmit your QR content anywhere. There is no tracking, no advertising, and no selling or sharing of your data.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.

Data the app handles

QR Studio works with a small amount of data, all of it under your control:

  • The QR content you create (such as links, text, contact details, and WiFi details) is stored locally on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, this content is also stored in your own private iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. It is never sent to the developer.
  • A device identifier used by Apple StoreKit solely to verify your purchase or subscription. This is handled by Apple, not by the developer.

That is the full list. No usage statistics, session data, crash analytics, or scan tracking are collected.

Camera and scanning

QR Studio asks for camera access only so you can scan QR codes and barcodes. Images from the camera are processed on your device and are not transmitted or stored by the developer.

WiFi passwords

If you enter a WiFi password while creating a WiFi QR code, that password is stored securely in your device Keychain. It stays on your device and is not sent anywhere.

Where your data lives

On device

Your QR codes and app data are stored locally on your device. This data stays on your device unless you choose to enable iCloud sync.

iCloud sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your QR codes are stored in your personal iCloud account through Apple CloudKit, not on the developer's servers. This data is protected by Apple's iCloud security. The developer cannot access it.

No tracking, no ads, no sharing

QR Studio does not track you across apps or websites. It contains no advertising. It does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone. Because the app has no analytics and no networking of its own, there is nothing to track in the first place.

Apple services

QR Studio relies on a few Apple services that you already use:

  • iCloud (optional): for syncing your QR codes across your own devices.
  • StoreKit and the App Store: for app distribution, subscriptions, and purchase verification.

These services are governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Deleting your data

You can delete any QR code at any time within the app. If you delete the app, the data stored locally on your device is removed. Data in your iCloud account is managed through your Apple ID settings.

Children's privacy

QR Studio is not directed to children under 13, and the app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app keeps everything on device and collects no personal data, there is nothing for the developer to receive.

Changes to this policy
